Your Uncle Ray loved to go on cruises, I enjoyed them as well but what I didn't like was not being able to explore the ports we visited. Was never enough time. I love to learn the history of all our places we visited. I still have some opportunities but not enough time. I hope one day soon we can visit. I sold my house and will be leaving this area by fall. Going back to O.C.

I have so enjoyed vicariously getting to experience a little bit of Egypt through this Substack clout and your incredible stories. Thank you so much for sharing your life in Cairo and your experiences abroad with us. I have learned so much. I am so impressed with your ability to connect with people, immerse yourself in new experiences I can barely imagine, and land in a new country and culture and make a temporary new home there. My guess is you will carry this year with you for your entire life.
We are very excited to know we will have you back in DC! Enjoy your time in Portland and wherever else your month off takes you.
